EU membership will be the best for Georgia's economy, but Georgia has to decide whether it wants to join or not - German Ambassador to Georgia Peter Fischer writes on Platform X's personal page.

The ambassador also talks about the risks of the current situation.

"At the [meeting] of the German Economic Union in Georgia, I said that EU membership would be the best for Georgia's economy, but Georgia should decide whether it wants to join or not. I also mentioned the economic risks of the current situation for Georgia: foreign exchange market, credit rating, preferential finance, direct foreign investments, trade, tourism and emigration", - wrote Fisher.
