Matthew Miller: We want free and fair elections to be held in Georgia - we will watch closely

The United States of America will "closely observe" the elections in Georgia.

The US State Department spokesman, Matthew Miller, made a corresponding statement at a briefing in response to a question about the October 26 election.

"We want free and fair elections to be held in Georgia and we will closely monitor them in the coming days," said Miller.
