“In the first three weeks [of the formation of the coalition government], we will rapidly introduce amendments to the law, and the Chinese Communist Party-controlled, state-owned company will be removed from the project. After that, we will conduct the tender for Anaklia Port again so that a western company with high reputation is selected and the construction of Anaklia Port can be completed quickly.

I would also like to tell you that according to our plan, the co-owners of Anaklia port will become citizens of Georgia. Which means that the shares of Anaklia port will be offered to our fellow citizens. With the start of Anaklia Port, Anaklia City and other megaprojects, tens of thousands of jobs will be created in Georgia.

The Anaklia project will not only be a return of the historical function for Georgia, but also a project of national and international importance, creating the main state of the country and creating jobs", said Khazaradze.
