At the polling stations where the opposition wins with a large margin, they try to provoke physical clashes and abuse the commission members and observers, said Gia Japaridze, the leader of "Unity - National Movement", who arrived in Marneuli together with other leaders of the coalition.
According to Japaridze, all violations will be recorded. According to him, the most important thing is that the citizens of Georgia should not be lazy and leave their homes.
"First of all, thank you to the free media for the immediate response that you have." I think that the role of the media will be very important today, because the events that we are observing show such a trend: in those election stations where the opposition wins with a large advantage, they try to provoke physical clashes and violence against the members of the commission or observers. It seems that they have received a similar task.
We are currently in Marneuli. At the moment we are in the 69th area of Marneuli, which is open. There were also problems in the 18th precinct, where they tried to vote without an ID card. Violations were also reported in the 64th district. It seems that they are artificially trying to create problems at all polling stations in Marneuli.
We are here to respond to these very issues. Our representative was physically assaulted in one of the districts, due to which he is now in the hospital. Foreign observers and representatives of the international media are also present here. All this indicates that "Georgian Dream" is losing these elections and is trying to prevent the victory of the opposition with such methods.
We record and record all violations. Everything is marked and accounted for by us. Now the main thing is that the citizens of Georgia should not be lazy, leave their homes, go to the polling stations and participate in the elections. This is necessary to end Russian influence in Georgia and return the country to the path of joining the European Union. The higher the turnout, the greater the opposition will win in these elections," said Gia Japaridze.
Dimitri Shashkin, one of the leaders of the same party, also commented on the violations.
"This specific, 69th precinct of Marneuli was one of our best precincts and we always won by a large margin, Georgian Dream knew this well and demonstratively threw ballots in order to cancel this precinct, the precinct cannot be canceled and the same is expected everywhere, our Victory," said Dimitri Shashkin, one of the leaders of "Unity - National Movement".
