I expect much better results after the actual counting begins - I think the Central Election Commission will be under a lot of pressure from the party [Georgian Dream], but they owe it to the country to withstand that pressure. They should take into account that the pressure from the citizens of Georgia will be much heavier, Giorgi Gakharia, the leader of "Gakharia for Georgia", told journalists after the announcement of the results of the exit polls.
According to him, now it is important that the parties protect their votes.
“I expect much better results once the actual counting begins. In our society, the error rate of the exit poll is quite large. That's why there are so many differences. Therefore, it is now important to secure votes from each district. All kinds of celebrations afterwards. Believe me, when the counting is over, our results, including the opposition parties, will be better than the exit poll. It is not the first time that after the elections in Georgia, there are different realities on different TV channels. We have experienced this. We have had cases where we celebrated and got completely different results in the morning. Therefore, an exit pole is an exit pole. We celebrated, now let's stop celebrating and concentrate on securing votes. Electronic elections are held for the first time this year. The votes from each precinct are counted and then we can celebrate. Gorbi's exit poll is not funny, it's funny. "Dream" will try to bring us closer to the virtual reality of this chapter. Our task is to protect the voices of citizens. Instead of celebrating with dithyrambs, we should sit down and do what I'm going to do now - I'm going to go up and go through every area in detail with my teammates.
I know for sure that our voter who left the precinct will not tell the pollster who he voted for, because, unfortunately, we still live in an authoritarian society. These people have business, have various connections and are afraid. The current government is persecuting these people, hunting them.
Now it is most important to protect the voices and not live in virtual reality. Now we have to stop celebrating and we have to protect the voices from all areas", said Giorgi Gakharia.
