Marketa Gregorova: I would try to advise the opposition to hold the seat in the parliament, which they won as a result of the support of many voters

European parliamentarian Marketa Gregorova advises the opposition to use the mandates obtained through the elections and work in the parliament.

She mentioned this in response to a question whether she considers the parliament legitimate or not, if the opposition announces a boycott of the work of the legislative body.

"I am neither a judge nor a lawyer, I don't know how this issue is regulated by Georgian legislation, but I tried to advise the opposition to take their place in the parliament, which they won as a result of the support of many voters who believe that they should be in the parliament. If they see that it is impossible to continue working in the parliament for some reason, which of course can happen, then they can leave the parliament, but I hope that they will try to work first.

If the opposition has made a statement that they do not recognize the results, then I expect them to take legal steps and apply to the Constitutional Court," said Gregorova.
