For critical media representatives, the process of obtaining and disseminating information related to the election was extremely difficult and dangerous.

Aggressive groups of "Georgian Dream" mobilized in election precincts, at the entrances of the voting building, nearby (including at a distance prohibited by law). Aggression became especially dangerous when trying to document and record the facts of pressure, control, and bribery on voters. Journalists and cameramen say violence against critical journalists and observers has been encouraged.

Some committee chairpersons in Tbilisi districts either did not give information to journalists, or avoided and avoided comment until they had a correspondence or a phone call and received permission.

Journalists were also threatened with expulsion from the area. There was a case when a journalist was told that he had no right to film in the area at all.
