In relation to the parliamentary elections of 2024, a total of 1170 complaints have been submitted, which indicates a decreasing and positive trend that we have after 2020, - the head of the legal department of the CEC, Giorgi Santurian, said at the briefing.

According to his own statement, on October 29, a total of 366 election precincts were recounted, and out of the recounted election precincts, the results did not change in 334 election precincts, while the results in the remaining 32 election precincts changed only slightly.

"The deadlines for submitting complaints in the district election commissions have ended. Therefore, we are sharing with you information about the statistics of complaints that we have as a result of processing. Here is a little comparative analysis of complaints filed in 2020-2021.

In 2020, a total of 2,054 complaints were submitted. In 2021, 1840 complaints, and this year, in relation to the parliamentary elections of 2024, a total of 1170 complaints have been submitted, which indicates a decreasing and positive trend that we have after 2020.

At the same time, we present to you the statistics of complaints submitted by monitoring organizations and election subjects from 2020-2024, and the trend here is also decreasing. For example, monitoring organizations submitted a total of 629 complaints in 2020, 599 in 2021, and the total number of complaints submitted within the current parliamentary elections is 570.

Regarding the number of complaints submitted by election subjects, we present statistical information: in 2020, a total of 1,425 complaints were submitted, in 2021, 1,235, and a total of 600 complaints were submitted within the current elections.

It can be said unequivocally that, both in relation to election subjects and in relation to monitoring organizations, the downward trend in complaints is maintained, which naturally reflects that the introduction of election technologies should have led to a decrease in the number of complaints in terms of certain procedural violations, which is also confirmed by current statistics.

At the same time, from the submitted complaints, we share with you what specific requirements they contained.

In particular: recount regarding invalidity - a total of 544 complaints have been submitted. 428 complaints with a request to impose disciplinary responsibility. 47 unsolicited complaints were submitted, and 151 complaints regarding the task of action implementation.

At the same time, I would like to share with you some important information regarding certain complaints. If we sum up the complaints submitted to the election administration on October 26, 27 and 28, a total of 652 complaints were submitted, and only 7 of the submitted complaints concern a case where the author of the complaint points to the presence of a corresponding marking on the other side of the ballot paper after coloring, without once again confirming that on the day of voting The issue was not identified as a problem.

We would also like to share with you information regarding conversions. On October 29, a total of 366 election precincts were recounted, and the results did not change in 334 election precincts, while the results in the remaining 32 election precincts changed only slightly. It is also important that in total, in 3111 summary minutes, a dissenting opinion is recorded in only 9 cases, which in the end represents only 2/100.

Information about the number of submitted complaints will be posted today on the website of the CEC, and all interested parties will have the opportunity to find information about the mentioned statistics.

Unfortunately, there is a tendency to submit complaints that belong to the so-called template complaints. In particular, only the list of precinct election commissions changes, while the content of the complaint does not change, which indicates that the complaints were submitted only to increase the number of complaints and not to reflect a specific problem, which all interested parties can verify in our public complaints in the registry.
