Reverend Iakob: I am addressing the President, ladies from the opposition: what will these actions give us? The people who won the elections are not complacent - we will not confuse you anymore - the church always stands where the Georgian nation is

I want to appeal to our President, ladies from the opposition and people who want street protests - what will these protests give us? The people who won the elections are not tolerant, said Bodbian Archbishop Reverend Iakob during his sermon.

According to him, the Georgian people will not give up these elections.

"I want to appeal to our president, women from the opposition and people who want street demonstrations - what will these demonstrations give us?" The people who won the elections are not tolerant. Georgian people will not give up these elections.

How long should we be at the mercy of others? - Two forces were fighting in the elections - one was telling you to go ahead in peace, to look after the economy and education, and when it's time to enter somewhere, let's enter without having anything to be grateful for. The second force was - they told us that if you are not with us, you are Russians, the law and the government are Russian, the people who vote are also Russian. Georgian people still made a choice and did not believe that lie", Reverend Iakob said.

Reverend Iakob once again addressed the President and the female oppositionists, noting that they are speaking to "appease the foreigner."

"I want to appeal to Mrs. President and ladies - there is no point in addressing men." Are you mothers? - If you take the young people out, whose child's blood do you want to spill? Think about it, what are you doing... talking to please a foreigner. Is it possible for us to live in such a way that after the elections, we all do things together?", said Iakob.

According to the archbishop, the church always stands where the Georgian nation is.

"I am addressing the men, do you want to walk down the street?" We saw this scenario in the 90s and we will not confuse it anymore. Do you want to walk on the street or go to a rally? If you do so, you will be in permanent opposition. Do you have to think about the consequences? The church always stands where there is a Georgian nation," Reverend Iakob said.

In addition, as the reverend noted, according to his information, relations will be sorted out and the Georgian nation will not live in isolation.

"I am the bearer of information, I know that relations will be sorted out. Our nation cannot live in isolation. There are some issues that cannot be discussed without some compromise. Therefore, whatever information I am carrying, peace will soon be established with us, and let us try to live in such a way that we do not divide the society, but unite it," Reverend Iakob said.
