The head of GYLA, Nona Qurdovanidze, states that the Tbilisi City Court did not satisfy the claim of the Association of Young Lawyers, which was related to the secrecy of the vote in the October 26 parliamentary elections.
According to her information, lawsuits of similar content were not satisfied in other courts of the country.
"The trial of GYLA's right to privacy lawsuit in the city court was recently completed. The case was heard by a probationary judge, who was recently appointed. He had a chance to restore the right to privacy and trust in the court. The judges of the courts, which discussed similar cases today and yesterday, did not satisfy us. We are still waiting for the decisions of several courts.
The court's lack of interest in fully investigating the case was evident from the outset when the judge denied 2 of our important requests - to look at the sealed ballots of the random selection precincts; CEC was involved in the case as a third person.
For the time being, the events are relatively interesting in the Tetritskaro court, where tomorrow the prosecutor will look at the ballots and check the marker," Qurdovanidze wrote on "Facebook".
