It is important to give our European friends as much information as possible about what happened, what evidence we have collected. The report is ready, it will be handed over to Ambassador Herczyński to send it to Brussels, one of the leaders of "Strong Georgia" Badri Japaridze said after the meeting with the EU Ambassador to Georgia, Paweł Herczyński.
As he explains, the European Union is actively discussing the situation that will affect the elections held in Georgia.
"This meeting was very informative, useful and necessary. For 2 hours, together with the ambassador, we discussed the situation that was created in our country, the work that the opposition has done, the plans that the opposition has, the support that the Georgian people need from the European Union at this historical moment. Of course, I am not allowed to talk about the details publicly. The main thing is that we should understand that a very active discussion is going on in the European Union regarding the situation that was created in our country, the elections that were hijacked by "Georgian Dream". This review is ongoing. We saw the most important announcements from the leaders of 3 countries, it was the announcements from the leaders of Germany, France and Poland, we will see more important discussions in the coming week. So it is important to give our European friends as much information as possible about what happened, what evidence we have collected. This will be written. The report is ready, it will be given to the head of the mission, Ambassador Paweł Herczyński, to send the report to Brussels. So this meeting was very useful, very productive. We will of course continue to communicate with the loyal friend of our people, the European Union.
This report was prepared and reconciled with the participation of 4 coalitions, which includes systemic violations and their description. Therefore, it is important to have a mission here under the auspices of the European Union, which will personally evaluate these violations that have occurred, evaluate the process, to what extent it is in line with the commitment that was taken in connection with the holding of free and fair elections, in general, "Georgian Dream" did not even ensure that this commitment was fulfilled. And the election process was completely taken over. Therefore, it will be very important to have a proper EU mission that will assess these elections, the disparities that we have all seen, and this assessment will be decisive for the next steps. We are talking about an independent investigation, a thief will never investigate his crime, therefore we will cooperate with the mission, which will be independent and not controlled by "Georgian Dream", Japaridze said.
