Almost every day we see different types of actions, and this process will not stop until a significant part of our society has a feeling of protest regarding the results of the elections and the operation that took place on October 26, Gigi Tsereteli, one of the leaders of "Unity - National Movement", said about this at the scheduled meeting today. He told journalists about the protest march.
According to him, "the opposition works in a very coordinated manner."
"Coordination is with the president as well as with many community groups. It was said that the protest would be continuous. Almost every day we see different types of actions - some are smaller in scale, some are large. This process will not stop until a significant part of our society feels such protest regarding the results of the elections and the operation that took place on October 26. Accordingly, today there will be a meeting in 2 places: on Kavtaradze, near the "State University" metro station and on Marjanishvili square. It will be a demonstration of the protest mood, which is not only in the opposition parties, but also in the part of the society, which saw for itself what we were dealing with on October 26 and how the results and choices were changed through a series of manipulations. We are talking about violation of confidentiality, appropriation and then use of personal information, bribery and other types of manipulations. Not only our observers, but also international observers are talking about this," said Gigi Tsereteli.
As for whether the participants of the march planned at 15:00 will join the action planned by "Girchi" at 19:00, Tsereteli cannot give a precise answer and says that "this is a tactical issue".
"I know that "Girchi" is holding a protest and that's good. In general, I believe that the opposition parties, which did not receive the results of the elections, did not recognize them and intend to protest, whether legislative or used with other instruments, to communicate and where possible to join forces. I think this will be acceptable to the society", said Gigi Tsereteli.
