How can a criminal try to investigate his own crime, in this case, the crime was committed by "Georgian Dream" and, of course, the prosecutor's office controlled by "Georgian Dream" will not investigate the crime, nor do they have the task of finding the truth, - one of the leader of "Strong Georgia”, Badri Japaridze, made the statement in the Tbilisi City Court before being questioned by the magistrate judge as part of the investigation into the case of possible election fraud.
As Japaridze thinks, the questioning with the investigators will be a formal interview, because according to him, their task is to create a "fake process", as if they were "interested in the statements".
"They constantly repeat why we do not submit evidence to the prosecutor's office, it turns out that the task of the prosecutor's office is not to investigate, it turns out that the prosecutor's office must collect the results of the investigation by the opposition. This is absurd and turns the truth upside down. The prosecutor's office has no task of investigation, because their task is to create a false process, as if they were interested in the statements.
I think this is a formal interview, because the prosecutor's office must have already established the people who committed the forgery. Obviously, there has been no investigation so far, nor have those people who committed violations of the law publicly and for all to see been held accountable.
There are thousands of pieces of evidence that have not been investigated. Not willing to investigate. "How can a criminal try to investigate his own crime, in this case, the crime was committed by "Georgian Dream" and, of course, the prosecutor's office controlled by "Georgian Dream" will not investigate, nor do they have the task of establishing the truth," Badri Japaridze told "TV Pirveli".
In addition, Japaridze noted that today he is going to hand over to the prosecutor's office the evidence collected by the opposition.
"We will hand over the evidence we have to the prosecutor's office. In this report, it is clearly explained what the falsification schemes were based on, how the falsification schemes worked", Japaridze stated.
For information, within the framework of the investigation of possible election fraud, the prosecutor's office, in the presence of a magistrate judge, interrogated several opposition leaders and non-governmental sector representatives, including Zurab Girchi Japaridze, Mamuka Khazaradze, Natia Mezvrishvili, Saba Buadze, Tengo Tevaze, Londa Toloraia.
The prosecutor's office claims that more than one representative of the Central Election Commission was interrogated within the framework of the investigation of the mentioned case, although the agency does not disclose specific names and surnames.
