The General Prosecutor's Office of Russia is considering cases against two citizens of Georgia fighting on the side of Ukraine. The press service of the General Prosecutor's Office of Russia reports on this.
In particular, according to their report, the so-called "prosecutor's office" of the so-called "People's Republic of Donetks" in the occupied territories of Donetsk region is considering the cases against Georgian citizens - Lado Gamsakhurdia and Qartlos Rusitashvili.
The General Prosecutor's Office of Russia refers to Georgian fighters as "mercenary fighters".
According to their reports, Gamsakhurdia and Rusitashvili voluntarily joined the "Georgian National Legion" as "mercenary fighters" from 2022 to 2024 and participated in combat operations on the side of Ukraine. In addition, the General Prosecutor's Office of Russia accuses Gamsakhurdia of recruiting and training "mercenary fighters".
They point out that criminal cases against Georgian citizens were transferred to the so-called "High Court" of the so-called "People's Republic of Donetsk".
