I want to ask the current government - "Georgian Dream": make the lists public so that we can be sure once and for all and say that "we were interrupted, this election was good" or we can say that "no, we were not interrupted and this election was bad", - about this the leader of "Gakharia for Georgia", Giorgi Gakharia, said at the briefing.
According to Gakharia, if "Georgian Dream" makes the lists public, then everything that is happening now will end and "this nightmare will have a good end".
"No one recognized the elections held in Georgia as democratic and free. The question of the legitimacy of the elections is hanging in the air. International monitoring missions and foreign partners say that it is necessary to conduct an appropriate investigation in order to further resolve the issue of the legitimacy of these elections. It is a fact that these elections do not have the legitimacy of the population of Georgia within the country.
In order to solve this problem, we first appealed to "Georgian Dream" with a request to make public the lists of voters who participated in the elections, indicating in which precinct they participated in the elections. Of course, CEC did not react to this. We then went to court to get the court to protect the equipment on which this information was stored. A representative of the CEC appeared at the court, who said that the prosecutor's office opened a criminal case and started an investigation. Within the framework of this investigation, the prosecutor's office seized this equipment. In fact, we now have a situation where the main evidence, not only for us, but for the citizens of Georgia, for "Georgian Dream", which can prove what it claims - that these elections were fair and nothing was rigged. For this, it is necessary to make the information of the lists on this equipment public, or to give access to people, so that each of us can be sure - where and when we voted.
Instead of "Georgian Dream" doing this, "Georgian Dream" captured and confiscated this equipment through the prosecutor's office. In fact, today the CEC openly says that within the framework of some "fake" criminal case, the CEC no longer has access to this equipment and full responsibility, that's how it was perfectly transferred to the prosecutor's office," said Gakharia.
