The Prosecutor's Office of Georgia has turned into the prosecutor's office of "Georgian Dream" and is being used as a tool of political persecution, one of the leaders of "Unity - National Movement" Levan Bezhashvili said about this.
As Bezhashvili noted, the prosecutor's office is used as the main tool after the rigged elections to cover up and hide the facts and evidence of rigging.
"Today, with the levers of the criminal law procedure, the prosecutor's office wants the court and other levels of administration to have no opportunity to make any decision, such as removing information from the election apparatus. That is why it is important to create international investigative structures that will investigate the topic of election fraud in Georgia, that will investigate all the evidence.
Because of its reputation, the government uses the prosecutor's office as a tool of political struggle, the political spectrum and society do not trust it. "All interrogations are conducted in court with a magistrate judge, and no opposition leader has refused to submit evidence," said Levan Bezhashvili.
The opposition politician also responded to the statement of the leader of "Strong Georgia", Mamuka Khazaradze, who offers the opposition parties to make a statement on the opening of the lists and the resignation of mandates at the same time - on one day and at the same time.
According to Levan Bezhashvili, the "National Movement" has always supported the common actions of the opposition parties. According to his own statement, Khazaradze's call is a matter of discussion and they are not opposed to political opposition parties being guided by a common plan to protect the interests of the people.
"Unity - National Movement": always favors strategic unity in the opposition. Another initiative of "Strong Georgia" is a subject of discussion, and we are not opposed to protecting people's interests through joint actions.
There are two approaches regarding the non-recognition of the results of the Parliament, it is the delegitimization of the Parliament, to prevent the CEC and the legislative body from notifying the powers of 100 deputies.
Our position was that before the summary protocol of the CEC, the parties should fix their position and not participate in the drafting of the protocol of the CEC, which will concern the election as a deputy in the parliament. Closing the lists and terminating the powers of the Parliament already refers to the renunciation of mandates.
Appealing to the Parliament not to recognize the authority is both a political and a legal issue. "One-party parliament and dictatorship will not exist in this country for long," said Levan Bezhashvili.
