"I want to respond to the pressure campaign, which after the October 26 elections is getting stronger, intense and offensive. Some persons dissatisfied with the results of the elections have gone beyond the civil forms of protest and by invading personal space and actions that cross ethical boundaries, they are trying to put pressure on me personally and the employees of the election administration.

While I fully respect the right to free expression - a fundamental principle protected by European democratic standards - this right must be exercised responsibly and within the limits of lawful behavior. When such actions go beyond acceptable limits, they demonstrate a lack/absence of legal basis or evidence to support the allegations made against us.

I would like to emphasize that no amount of pressure and threats can change our firm position that the elections were well administered, as evidenced by various international observation missions (OSCE/ODIHR), National Democratic Institute (#NDI), International Republican Institute (#IRI), "European Network of Election Monitoring Organizations" (#ENEMO), "European Platform Democratic for elections" (#EPDE)) with preliminary statements, assessments or conclusions regarding the day of voting.

Threatening messages, insulting inscriptions near residential houses and actions are a motivation for me and other employees of the election administration to work even more intensively and tirelessly so that not only international partners, but also every voter of Georgia receives complete and correct information about the elections, especially in the post-election period. about baseless accusations.

Finally, I would like to say to each employee of the election administration, to those who have become victims of unfair pressure, I will use all human and legal means to protect your rights. Your dedication and perseverance are the cornerstone of the election process, and we will not waver in protecting the values ​​and principles of democracy, which we jointly serve," Kalandarishvili wrote.
