The "Smartmatic" company confirms that it provided the special markers used to mark the choices on the ballot to the election administration, the Central Election Commission reports.
The CEC publishes a letter received from the "Smartmatic" company, in which the company confirms that the marker, which the politicians showed to the public and claimed to have been changed by the CEC, was actually received by the election administration from "Smartmatic".
According to the election administration, this is confirmed by the contract signed with the company and among them the acts of accepting and handing over markers, which are public and placed in the electronic system of state procurement.
"Stakeholders continue to manipulate information regarding the ballot filler marker used in the October 26 election. The election administration has repeatedly explained that the special markers used to mark the choices on the ballot were provided by "Smartmatic". This is confirmed by the contract signed with the company and among them the acts of accepting and handing over markers, which are public and posted in the electronic system of state procurement. Despite this, politicians continue to assure the public that the CEC has changed the markers, which is a complete lie and is aimed at misleading the public. Based on the above, we would like to present to the public the letter received from the company "Smartmatic", by which the company confirms that the marker, which the politicians showed to the public and claimed to have been changed by the CEC, was actually received by the election administration from "Smartmatic".
“We confirm that the marking pen shown in the photo below has been supplied by Smartmatic as part of the contract for the October election process and complies with the black and fast drying ink requirements. The mentioned markers represent the consumables that were included in the set for election purposes during the election configuration process, in which process "Smartmatic" provided support," the letter published by the CEC states.
