What we see today in Tbilisi, on Chavchavadze Avenue, is a part of the radicalism that we have been hearing about for so long with specific statements, - said the general secretary of "Georgian Dream", Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze.

According to his own assessment, the time of radicalism in the country is over.

"As for the actions of the opposition, in the form we see, these are radical actions by radicals. They were defeated in the elections, the majority of the population of our country gave them the appropriate place, they were sent to the political trash. They lied to their voters throughout the campaign, telling them that they were the winners. Then on election day, they showed fake exit polls, even celebrated, and then started spreading false campaign that the election was rigged. What we see today in Tbilisi, on Chavchavadze Avenue, is a part of the radicalism that we have been hearing for so long with specific statements. However, I want to say that the time of radicalism in the country is over and both radicalism and evil will always be defeated," Kaladze said.

In addition, according to Kaladze, the Parliament of Georgia will meet next week and the government will be approved, which "nobody and nothing can stop".

"We will have peace and tranquility in the country and economic development of the country will take place. In a few days, the Parliament will meet, the Prime Minister, the new Cabinet of Ministers will be approved, and of course, we will continue to fulfill the promises made by us. We do not have the opportunity to stop today, we must do everything to make the country more economically developed, move forward and the population feel well-being.

The opposition is aiming for destructive actions. In this way, the people of our country are once again shown their face, and I am glad that the society is once again convinced that they have made the right choice. Thank you to the 1,120,000 people who supported the country's calm, peace and development," Kaladze said.

To the journalist's question, some leaders of the opposition call the population to come out and they do not participate in the actions, Kaladze answered that the reason for this may be the cold.

"This is not only about Mamuka Khazaradze. If you observe these radical actions and statements by the leaders of the opposition, when, for example, people gathered in front of the parliament, they directly called for radical actions, then they hid themselves and left the youth to special forces and the police. As a result, arrests were made, today two people have already been sentenced to several years for criminal offenses. Then nobody remembers those people. I want to appeal to everyone, don't use yourself, your feelings, to the representatives of this radical opposition!

Perhaps they avoid it because of the cold, yesterday we saw a few of them sneak away. Some were pretending to go for something, others to drink warm tea, etc., Kaladze noted.
