We call on the Ministry of Internal Affairs to stop the violence against the media and participants of the rally, - the media Ombudsman announced.

As mentioned in the statement, the media ombudsman applied to the Special Investigation Service with the notices of prosecution and arrest of journalists and operators.

"Today, on November 19, members of the special forces prevented OC Media journalist Mariam Nikuradze from her journalistic activities.

Law enforcement officers did not allow "Netgazeti" correspondent Givi Avaliani to film.

Sergi Baramidze, operator of "Mtavari Arkhi" was arrested in the process of performing journalistic activities.

The law enforcement officers physically assaulted "Publika" journalist Mindia Gabadze.

We call on the Ministry of Internal Affairs to stop the violence against the media and protestors.
