During the confrontation between the police and the protestors on Melikishvili Avenue, several of the arrested persons were released.

Among those released are Sergi Baramidze, operator of "Mtavari Arkhi", as well as two female protesters who are members of "Strong Georgia" and "Strategy Agmashenebeli".

As the operator Sergi Baramidze said after leaving the police building, he was physically assaulted by the law enforcement officers, he also has injuries.

According to his explanation, he was released from the police station on the basis of a handwritten note.

"We were taking footage of the detainee, and a fight with the police happened at that time. For some reason, I wrapped myself in my pants. [The police] told me that you were breaking the rules, you were obstructing us, that is, you were on the road. I'm not an activist, I'm a cameraman, I was shooting normally, and why they decided to arrest me is unbelievable, I don't know. I have a bruised eye, the rest of the body is fine, but I was well beaten.

We moved to the department, nothing major happened there, they just checked my things", said Sergi Baramidze.
