Eka Beselia came to the General Prosecutor's Office for questioning on the case of possible falsification of the parliamentary elections

Lawyer Eka Beselia came to the General Prosecutor's Office for questioning on the case of possible falsification of parliamentary elections. As Beselia told the media before entering the investigative agency, she has concrete evidence on possible election fraud, in particular, "there are several facts, depending on the districts and time, how election procedures were violated on the day of the elections."

According to Eka Beselia, many Georgian citizens, the President, local and international observers, as well as herself, believe that the results of the parliamentary elections were falsified. Therefore, according to her, she is ready to provide the information she has on this matter to the investigation.

"I know the information I have, and I have some of it here, and I have to indicate the sources of some of it, and I am ready to share it with the investigation. I was offered [to be interviewed] either at the prosecutor's office or with a magistrate judge, but I very deliberately chose here, [to come] directly to the investigating body and directly to the people who are conducting the investigation in connection with the forgery case. If this investigation is even remotely close to the standard of objectivity there is sufficient evidence and information available to all participating watch dogs, entities, myself included. As a lawyer, I believe that sharing this information is in the interests of all those who want these facts to be presented to the investigative body. That is why I will gladly do it, because I consider it to be, among other things, my obligation.

There are several facts, among them there are violations of election procedures on election day, depending on the districts and time. It concerns the use of various methods, "carousels", use of ID cards, violation of the rule of secrecy, violation of the general rule, and on this, you know, a constitutional lawsuit has been filed against the President, we are preparing for this process, and I will be a representative at the process. Apart from that, there are some very important facts, the sources of which are direct eyewitnesses", said Eka Beselia.
