Khatia Tsilosani calls Giorgi Kandelaki's statement about Canada's refusal to grant visas to the Georgian delegation disinformation

Majority MP Khatia Tsilosani calls the information spread by Giorgi Kandelaki, according to which Canada has denied visas to the Georgian delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, a lie.

According to Tsilosani, the members of the Georgian delegation have received Canadian visas.

“The information spread by Giorgi Kandelaki on social media is a complete lie and disinformation. I am the head of the Georgian delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly and I can unequivocally confirm that the members of the Georgian delegation have received Canadian visas. I was personally informed about this by a representative of the Canadian Embassy. I had a phone call from him today. He confirmed to me that the visas have been issued, and therefore, why spreading such incorrect and disinformation lies could be in his interests is already well understood by the public. And in general, such joy, even if the delegation did not have a visa, is an action directed against their own country, no one doubts it anymore.

They are trying in every way to damage the image and interests of Georgia. Therefore, I think that such information once again speaks of their attitude towards our country, and after exposing such lies, the citizens of Georgia will have a better opportunity to evaluate and once again be convinced that this is a force that is doing everything possible to prevent progress in the country and to make the country retreat as much as possible from the path of development that we have. Their statements serve only and only steps directed against Georgia. I can say with full responsibility that Canada really gave us visas. We and the Georgian delegation have received visas,” Khatia Tsilosani noted in an interview with ImediNews.

For your information, Giorgi Kandelaki, project manager at the Laboratory for the Study of the Soviet Past, wrote on social media that Canada has denied visas to the Georgian delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
