The protesters, who gathered on Rustaveli Avenue last night, spent the night near the Parliament.
The protesters are currently standing only on Rustaveli Avenue, while the other entrances to the Parliament are free of protesters. Only the police are mobilized at the entrances to the legislative body. Law enforcement officers have cordoned off April 9 and Chichinadze streets.
In addition to the entrances to the Parliament, police forces are also deployed at Freedom Square, where special equipment from the Ministry of Internal Affairs has also been mobilized.
For your information, the first session of the 11th convocation of the Parliament is scheduled to take place today at 12:00. The protesters do not recognize the election results and consider the new Parliament illegitimate. That is why their goal is to create discomfort for the members of the majority.
The protesters also set up tents on Rustaveli Avenue last night.
