“Russians, slaves!” - these are the cries of citizens gathered near the parliament to the deputies elected on the Georgian Dream electoral list, some of whom have already arrived at the legislative body.
They are entering the parliament courtyard by cars.
Georgian citizens, who are holding a rally in the area surrounding the parliament, claim that the "Georgian Dream" government rigged the October 26 elections, therefore, according to them, they do not recognize the results of these elections and are demanding the appointment of new elections.
At the moment, the participants of the rally are located both in front of the parliament, on Rustaveli Avenue, and on part of Chitadze Street and behind the parliament, at the corner of Chichinadze Street.
As for law enforcement officers, representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are on Chitadze Street and at the rear entrance to the parliament building.
For information, the first session of the 11th convocation of the Parliament will open today at 12:00. Deputies elected by the Georgian Dream party's electoral list are gathering at the Parliament Palace. They have been registered based on temporary certificates issued by the Central Election Commission.
Except for the "Georgian Dream", no other party that has crossed the threshold recognizes the results of the October 26 elections and does not intend to enter the Parliament.
