Romanian MEP, Vice-President of the "European People's Party", Siegfried Mureșan, reacts to the presidential elections held in his country and states that Russia can threaten the democratic process of any country.

"What happened in Romania in the first round of presidential elections can happen in any country. It happened in Moldova, it happened in Georgia and it can happen anywhere," the MEP wrote on social platform X.

According to him, now, more than ever, it is necessary to fight against extremism.

"Russia can threaten the democratic process of any country. Now, more than ever, it is important to fight against extremism and keep Romania on the European path," the Romanian MEP wrote.
