"Coalition for Change" officially applied to the Parliament with the request to cancel the mandates

"Coalition for Change" officially applied to the Parliament of Georgia regarding the resignation of mandates. All 19 members with the mandate of "Coalition for Change" came to the Parliament and wrote the statement individually.

"We, the "Coalition for Change" voters voted for change. The only major reason was the changes. That's why we got a lot of support from the community. What we are doing today does not mean that we are giving up on representing the people and voters. It does not mean that we refuse the mandate to adopt changes. No, on the contrary. The way we are going now is the complete delegitimization of this so-called parliament; On staying alone in this building of the so-called government of "Georgian Dream" and on new elections. Yes, this act of ours will achieve this goal. I and the voters of "Georgian Dream" themselves, who are listening to us now and presented Mr. Kavelashvili, as the country's president, even think that what is happening in this building today is Soviet Georgia. It has nothing to do with parliamentarism. Accordingly, we refuse this entry permit to Soviet Georgia. This is not a mandate", said one of the leaders of the coalition, Nika Melia.

Regarding the question of what the coalition expects, whether the parliament will cancel their mandates, Melia said that "we don't expect anything from the regime".

For information, the Central Election Administration has already canceled the registration of the remaining candidates presented by the party list of the political unions - "Coalition for Change Gvaramia – Melia – Girchi – Droa", "Unity-National Movement" and "Strong Georgia-Lelo, for the People, for Freedom".
