Some judges of Georgia are issuing a joint statement

Some judges of Georgia respond to the current events in the country and issue a joint statement.

As mentioned in their statement, they condemn violence and oppose any decision and step that contradicts the requirements of Article 78 of the Constitution of Georgia.

The application is signed by several judges.

"We, judges of Georgia, believe that it is our constitutional duty, today, to state our position loudly and unequivocally in terms of the rule of law, to protect human rights and to ensure the country's European future.

Within the framework of professional ethics, we maintain political neutrality in relation to the current political processes in the country, at the same time, we condemn violence, we disassociate ourselves from any decision and step that contradicts the requirements of Article 78 of the Constitution of Georgia.

We remain loyal to the judge's oath taken before God and the nation, and we believe that there is no alternative to the European integration of Georgia.

Georgia's place is where human dignity, freedom and peace are the most important values!

Therefore, Georgia's place is in Europe!
