"Strong Georgia" leader Mamuka Khazaradze names the steps that the opposition should take in light of the events unfolding in the country, stating that “the extremely dangerous situation requires immediate response and immediate action.”
As Khazaradze wrote on Facebook, all MPs from the four opposition coalitions that won the elections must immediately gather and establish a People’s Parliament, which will also include representatives of public organizations.
“The extremely dangerous situation created in the country requires immediate response and immediate action!
The elections hijacked by a Russian special operation, the rejection of the European Union, the inhumane brutality of citizens and especially fair protests, are leading the country to an extremely great danger!
There are only a few steps left before a full-fledged civil conflict and a return to the 90s! - This cannot be allowed, because we will lose the country and generations, we will lose the state, which will ultimately surrender to Russia, which is a long-standing goal and dream of the Kremlin and its puppet government in Georgia.
To prevent this catastrophe, it is necessary to: 1. Immediately gather all the deputies of the four opposition coalitions that won the elections and establish a People's Parliament, in which representatives of public organizations will also participate! This body, as a full-fledged representative of the victorious people, must take responsibility, speak directly to the European Union, present the will of the Georgian people and the constitutional demand for Georgia's membership in the European Union;
Send a special mission to Brussels to restore and continue the European integration process, which the Russian puppet government has interrupted in violation of the will of the Georgian people and the Constitution! 2. Take responsibility for the peaceful management of civil protests, with the main demand - to call new elections! 3. Present a detailed action plan for further steps.
“Strong Georgia”, with all its resources, is ready to be at the forefront of planning and implementing this process nationwide!” - writes Khazaradze.
