As always, everything was blamed and they are trying to blame peaceful youth and citizens who expressed their opinion. It was said that the protesters systematically resisted law enforcement officers, while masked law enforcement officers, who cannot be identified, had complete freedom and indulgence to abuse young people who acted unprovoked, - said Giorgi Gakharia, leader of the “Gakharia – For Georgia” party.
According to him, the “indulgence” of the Ministry of Internal Affairs officers who use physical force against the protesters was “given by today’s illegally elected Prime Minister through fraudulent elections.”
“We must unmask those police officers whom we can not identify and who often attack people.
Two days ago, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs came out and said - the law does not define this and what can we do, the police cannot be identified because they are wearing masks and the investigation is going on as it should, if we find something, then good, and if we can't, then nothing happens.
When the head of state calls a peaceful demonstration a systematic attack and, for example, throws a water bottle, lights a lamp in the stables and curses... We saw how the police cursed Georgian citizens through the loudspeaker and provoked them, which is certainly beyond justice and dignity.
I would also like to express my full support to public officials, especially those from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who simply stated their position that they support the European future of the country and are loyal to it. They are being pressured, they are being summoned by the State Security Service employees, I want to express my support to them and ask them not to leave their jobs under any circumstances and to continue to protect the European future and interests of the country from within the system.
Should the entire law enforcement system be in masks? Are they police officers at all? Or are they citizens of Georgia? Who are these people, fully equipped in masks, who attack people and kick journalists and young people. Wearing masks is the responsibility of special forces, this does not apply to people in black uniforms without equipment, they are ordinary black troops. If they are cool guys, let them take off their masks, they are cool when they beat Georgian citizens and children in masks. If you could see the faces of these people, do you think this violence would not decrease? Who gave this indulgence to these people, the law or the current Prime Minister, who was elected illegally through fraudulent elections?" said Giorgi Gakharia.
