4 political parties/coalitions issue joint statement

We agree in a cooperative manner to provide effective assistance to the demonstrators, including legal, informational and medical support - all detained demonstrators must be released immediately, - this is stated in the statement of the four political parties/coalitions that broke the barrier.

As they state, the way out of the current situation is to hold new elections with engagement. The parties call on the international community to condemn the systemic violence against peaceful demonstrators, "to make clear statements about the non-recognition of the results of the hijacked elections and to take effective retaliatory steps."

"We, the coalitions/parties with the legitimate mandate of the Georgian people, together oppose the illegitimate regime of the "Georgian Dream" and the systemic violence organized by it against peaceful demonstrators and journalists. All detained demonstrators must be released immediately.

We are fighting in the streets with the Georgian people in a joint, coordinated effort to save our common state. In a cooperative manner, we agree to provide effective assistance to the demonstrators, including legal, informational, and medical support.

The way out of the current dire situation is to hold new elections with international involvement, under a new election administration and politically neutral law enforcement and other state agencies.

Together, we call on the international community to condemn the systematic violence against peaceful demonstrators, to make clear statements about not recognizing the results of the hijacked elections, and to take effective retaliatory steps.

Our struggle is common and will continue until the victory of Georgian democracy and its European perspective,” the statement reads.
