On Chavchavadze Avenue, where protesters had recently moved from Rustaveli Avenue, one of the leaders of the "Coalition for Change", Zurab Girchi Japaridze, was detained.

The detention was preceded by a confrontation between police forces and protesters.

Protesters blocked the road with bunkers, which was met with resistance from the police. They detained several more protesters.

At the moment, only patrol police officers and several protesters are present on Chavchavadze Avenue. Traffic has also been restored.
