Head of the patrol police: Certain individuals had firearm-like objects, we will identify the perpetrators to the police and they will be held accountable - I warn these people, the punishment is not too small

According to the head of the patrol police, Vazha Siradze, it can be seen in the footage that certain persons had objects similar to firearms at the rally in front of the parliament.

According to him, they will identify these people and they will be held responsible.

"We all saw in the footage that certain persons had objects similar to firearms, and we will certainly identify the perpetrators who are abusing the police and hold them accountable. I warn these people, the punishment is not so small", said Siradze.

In addition, Siradze spoke about the injured citizens and representatives of the police forces during the protest and noted: "When the police forces are preventing violations of law accordingly, when using proportional force, some citizen may have to suffer some kind of injury."

Siradze spoke about the injured law enforcement officers and explained that a number of police officers had some iron objects removed from their foreheads.

"I very much doubt your objectivity. Based on the fact that you did not see the aggression from the citizens, it is very sad.

You will see more photos where several police officers have certain metal objects removed from their foreheads. In addition, policemen were being burned, and as for the violent facts that you see, if a citizen has any kind of injury, it is certainly a very bad fact. Neither the policeman nor our society likes this. Unfortunately, when the police force suppresses the law violations accordingly, in the use of proportionate force, some citizen may have to suffer some kind of injury. If there is any misconduct, there are relevant services in this country that take appropriate measures," said Vazha Siradze.
