The Public Defender calls on the Ministry of Internal Affairs not to use special means against participants in peaceful assemblies.

In particular, the Public Defender refers to the dispersal of the ongoing rally on Rustaveli Avenue.

“21:15 -22:00) As we have repeatedly indicated in recent days, in the event that specific individuals commit violent acts, appropriate proportionate measures should be taken against them individually and peaceful assemblies should not be dispersed.
