Lawyer: The detainee at the protest says that first they beat him in the cordon, then in the car, then the boss came and said: "Boss, come hit me once" and hit me once - this is not illegality of the arrest, it is inhuman, unmanly, un-Georgian

On December 2, the people arrested during the protest on Rustaveli Avenue have been transferred to the Zahehi temporary detention center.

Some of them have already been visited by their lawyers.

As human rights defender Lasha Tkesheladze states, he visited 3 detainees, 2 of whom speak of violence by special forces.

“When they were arrested, they first beat them in the cordon, then in the car, first one group, then another group physically abused them, they cursed them. I asked how they stopped - I asked, they were probably tired, then the boss came, they got up on time, “Boss, let me hit one more time”, they hit me once and then they left. Such behavior is not only illegality of the arrest, it is inhuman, unmanly, un-Georgian, this will not be tolerated. Two out of three have injuries,” - said Tkesheladze.

For your information, on December 2, law enforcement officers arrested 34 people under the Code of Administrative Offenses during a protest on Rustaveli Avenue.

In addition, the agency notes that 12 law enforcement officers were injured during yesterday's protest.
