According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, civil activist Dodi Kharkhel is not detained and her questioning is “taking place within the framework of an ongoing investigation into one of the criminal cases.” InterpressNews was told about this by the ministry.
“Investigative actions are underway in one of the criminal cases. He will be questioned within the framework of this case. She is not detained,” the ministry said.
The ministry did not specify which criminal case is being investigated, although according to available information, it may be the case of her ex-husband, Ucha Abashidze.
Civil activist Dodi Kharkhel was recently put into a police car by patrol police officers. Footage is circulating on social media showing him being met by several law enforcement officers and, despite resistance, the activist is eventually taken away.
In turn, Kharkhel's relatives say that law enforcement officers are searching the activist's apartment. They are not allowed to enter the residential building.
