The Constitutional Court did not accept the lawsuits of the President and 30 politicians regarding the recognition of the elections of October 26 as unconstitutional

The Constitutional Court did not accept the constitutional lawsuits of the President and 30 politicians regarding the recognition of the elections of October 26, 2024 as unconstitutional.

The ruling, which was recently published on the court's website, is final and not subject to appeal or revision.

Judge Giorgi Kverenchkhiladze's dissenting opinion regarding the refusal to accept the lawsuits for substantive review is attached to the judgment, in the part of the claim that concerns the availability of participation in the elections for voters living abroad. In the part of the claim, which refers to the secrecy of the vote and the availability of participation in the elections of voters living abroad.

With the lawsuits submitted to the Constitutional Court, the President and the opposition demanded that the elections held on October 26 be declared unconstitutional. The subject of the lawsuit's authors' dispute was the violation of the right to secrecy and the holding of free and universal elections.
