Those detained during last night's protest on Rustaveli Avenue have been transferred to temporary detention centers: According to the lawyer, some of the detainees have been beaten again

Those arrested during the protest on Rustaveli Avenue, last night and early today, have been transferred to the Zahese detention center and various temporary detention centers.

As lawyer Lasha Tkesheladze explained, some of the detainees have been beaten again. He visited one of the people in the Zahese detention center, who has injuries. He spoke to his lawyer about the violence against the rest of the detainees.

“18-year-old musician, DJ. They surrounded us at the Biltmore roundabout, beat me up and beat me. Then they took me to a car, they beat 3 people there, so that they could stand up, then they got on top of me. Then one person came, said that this is mine, and took me away. He has bruises in his eyes, his body is bruised," the lawyer says.

In parallel, the trials of those detained under administrative law are underway at the Tbilisi City Court. A hearing for lawyer Beka Basilaia is also scheduled for 2:00 p.m.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs detained 22 people during a demonstration on Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi on December 3.
