It was intimidation and an attempt to get people to stop protesting, one of the founders, Ilia Ghlonti, said about this after the law enforcement officers completed the investigation at his house.
As Ghlonti noted, the police removed a personal mobile phone, equipment and a laptop from his house.
"It was intimidation and an attempt to make people stop protesting. I call on everyone, on the contrary, friends, if you don't raise your voice today, everything will happen in exactly the same way as it happened to me, and tomorrow, the day after, because of expressing your free opinion, because you will write an independent opinion on "Facebook", you will be punished too. Therefore, you should not be afraid in any case! The battle begins now! We must be together! I say this on behalf of the kids, the fame, the people I watch every day at the rallies. This is violence and intimidation against ordinary people. They want someone to stop their actions, expression of free opinion.
There will be the threat of arrest and all kinds of threats, of course. They took away the equipment, my personal mobile phone and laptop. It was removed, it's clear why... Everyone can see what is "posted" in the group, it doesn't need any investigation. Nothing happens beyond that. It's just bullying, literally, to get these people to stop protesting. [are] inciting gang violence and disorder. My equipment was hacked to remove information, presumably. But this will not scare anyone. People came here too, and people will come wherever there is injustice. The fight for this country continues. We will not stop under any circumstances! Don't let anyone think that I'm afraid or that they will scare anyone! Everything continues and we will stand guard for the freedom and independence of this country until the end. People are out on the street individually, with their personal responsibilities, their desire and will, there is no call, no organization for this. Look at the people who are standing at the rally, look into their eyes, look into the eyes of the journalists who are being beaten by the perpetrators, they are not investigating this and what kind of justice are we talking about?! What kind of justice are we talking about, when children are beaten live on air, journalists are arrested, they do not start any investigation, they start calling in some "Facebook" group, some nonsense. Of course, this is clearly another step by the authoritarian state to intimidate people into not taking to the streets. That's why we should not be afraid! They think that now they will break into our houses, take our equipment... they will find the same thing that is written in the group, there was nothing beyond that. "Daitove" is the most powerful civil platform", said Ilia Ghlonti.
For information, the police entered the apartment of activist Ilia Ghlonti, one of the founders of the "Daitove" group.
