The party “Gakharia for Georgia” calls the ongoing processes in the country repressions and calls on international partners to act in a timely manner.

The party’s press service released a statement on the matter.

“What the government is doing now is ordinary repressions simply against dissent!

Once again, we call on Georgia’s international partners to act in a timely manner to protect the citizens of Georgia!”, the statement reads.

For your information, today the police conducted searches in the apartments of activists and offices of political parties. More specifically, investigative actions were carried out in the offices of the “Unity for the National Movement”, “Coalition for Change” and “Droa”. The apartment of one of the founders, Ilia Glonti, was also searched. In addition, in parallel with the search, the leader of the “Coalition for Change” Nika Gvaramia and a member of the coalition Gela Khasaia were detained near the “Droa” office. Zviad Tsetskhladze, a member of the "Dafioni" movement, has also been arrested.
