Guy Verhofstadt on the current situation in Georgia: an extraordinary session of the European Council is urgently needed to approve sanctions

Belgian MEP and former Prime Minister of Belgium, Guy Verhofstadt, reacts to recent situations in Georgia and states that an extraordinary session of the European Council is needed to approve sanctions.

"Violent pressure on opposition leaders in Georgia requires the action of the European Union. An extraordinary session of the European Council is urgently needed to approve the sanctions!" - writes the Belgian MEP on social platform X.
