Lawyer: Experts of the Special Investigation Service will enter Zura Datunashvili in the isolation cell

Experts of the Special Investigation Service will enter the isolation cell with Zura Datunashvili, a member of the "Coalition for Change", world champion in Greco-Roman style wrestling.

Beka Kvinikadze, the detainee's lawyer, told "InterpressNews" about this.

As the lawyer explained, Datunashvili was interrogated by the investigators yesterday, to whom he provided detailed information about the violence and injuries inflicted on him.

According to Kvinikadze, the athlete was raped both at the moment of arrest and in the car.

"His left eye is damaged, his throat area and his right ear are broken, an athlete's ear was broken, I have never seen anything like this... They hit him with elbows on the sides and head in the car, he has bruises on his head," said Kvinikadze.

Datunashvili's 48-hour administrative detention expires today in the evening. The lawyer suggests that the detainee's case will most likely be filed in court today, otherwise, after the administrative detention is over, he will be released and the trial will be held at another time.

For information, Zura Datunashvili was arrested under Articles 166 and 173 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, which refers to petty hooliganism and disobeying the lawful request of a police officer. He is transferred to the main division of the city.
