The court sentenced Nika Gvaramia to 12 days of administrative detention

Tbilisi City Court has found Nika Gvaramia, the leader of the Coalition for Change, an administrative violator and sentenced him to 12 days of administrative detention.

The decision was made by Judge Koba Chagunava.

“Long live Georgia, death to slaves,” Nika Gvaramia said after the verdict was announced.

Nika Gvaramia was arrested during an ongoing investigation at the office of the Droa party. Nika Gvaramia requested to enter the office and be present at the search, which the police did not allow him to do. A confrontation occurred between law enforcement officers present at the scene and Nika Gvaramia, during which the coalition leader was arrested.

For your information, Nika Gvaramia was arrested under Articles 166 and 173 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, which refers to petty hooliganism and disobeying a lawful request of a police officer.
