The meeting of Giorgi Shalutashvili, Rector of Shota Rustaveli State University of Theater and Cinema, with former and current students of the University was met with criticism and dissatisfaction. The reason for this was his evaluations.

The actors and directors demanded from Shalutashvili that the university, as an institution, express a clear position on the facts of violence and arrests during the protests, including the arrest of representatives of the cultural sphere.

Shalutashvili addressed the community gathered near the university that as soon as everything "becomes absolutely clear to him, he will apply all the measures that will bring results - be it bail, pardon or others". The rector added here, "how can the beating of a fallen person be justified".

Giorgi Shalutashvili also said that "all kinds of violence are unacceptable to him". His reply was criticized.

"There is no violence on this side! How can Natia Bunturi be a bully?! - How can you imagine that ballerina Natia Bunturi is abusing a riot policeman?!
