Margus Tsahkna: The Prime Minister and the leaders of "Georgian Dream" lie, they lied to the European Union, but most importantly, they lied to the Georgian people for a long time - the situation is really worrying

The Prime Minister and the leaders of "Georgian Dream" are lying, they lied to the European Union, but most importantly, they lied to the Georgian people for a long time, Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said in an interview with CNN.

The masks of the "Georgian Dream" have been removed and it was already evident a few months ago, but unfortunately, after the elections, everything we see is what the Georgian people really do not want, and violence against the demonstrations is unacceptable for us. As a member of the EU, we have already raised this issue and will do so again at the next meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council. This is worrying and it is obvious that Russia has more influence there, and this is something that the Georgian people do not agree with," said Margus Tsahkna.

According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia, the Georgian people have a legitimate leader in the form of the President.

"The President is a legitimate leader who is supported by the Georgian people, and we should take his words very seriously. Allegations that some political movements are behind these mass demonstrations are not true. These are Georgian people, and demonstrations are taking place not only in Tbilisi, but throughout Georgia, so it is true that 80% of Georgian people support the path to the European Union. The Prime Minister and the leaders of "Georgian Dream" are simply lying. They lied to the European Union, but more importantly, they lied to the Georgian people for a long time, and this is the reaction we see today. The situation is really worrying," said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia.
