It is the first time that this part of the intellectual elite [of actors], the weakest link because these people were the most vulnerable, the voice of actors is heard the loudest today - it's very proud of me! - Director Levan Tsuladze (Chola) told journalists about this in court, where the trial of actor Andro Chichinadze is being held among them.
As the director noted, the arrest of Andro Chichinadze was absolutely unexpected for him.
"If a person looks ahead and the system is 2 weeks or more ahead, then, I think, it is unprofitable for them. It is impossible to arrest the most excellent people for no reason, at least for an incomprehensible purpose, when there are so many to arrest in the streets, I don't know how to tell...
For the first time, when [actors] this part of the intellectual elite, the weakest link because these people were the most vulnerable, the voices of the actors are heard the loudest today. This is very proud of me. I hope that after this there will be other proud people, won't this be the end?! If an actor raises his voice, then soon others will also raise their voice.
The arrest of Andro Chichinadze was absolutely unexpected. Andro was my student, his son is a friend of my grandson, they are three years old, but they are friends. So it's an incredible story, I still can't believe I'm standing here for him. We are in a very comical position, but I hope that there will be no comedy in the final, something good will happen at the end", said Levan Tsuladze.
We remind you that the trial of actor Andro Chichinadze accused of gang violence, as well as comedian Onise Tskhadadze and 4 other persons is being held in Tbilisi City Court. All arrested persons are protesting the decision made by the authorities, according to which the Georgian government has decided not to put the issue of opening negotiations with the European Union on the agenda until the end of 2028 - also, until the end of 2028, it refuses any budget grant from the European Union. This decision of the government has been followed by protests in Georgia since November 28, both in the capital and in the regions.
