A protest march is being held from Tbilisi State University to the Parliament: Melikishvili Avenue is blocked

A protest march is being held from Tbilisi State University to the Parliament.

The participants of the rally blocked Melikishvili Avenue and, accordingly, traffic was stopped.

Both students and civil society and political party representatives participate in the march.

The participants of the rally are still protesting the November 28 decision of Georgian Dream, according to which Georgia will not put the issue of opening negotiations with the European Union on the agenda until the end of 2028.

Their demand is unchanged - to schedule re-elections and to release the citizens arrested during the protest.

Protesters are holding Georgian flags and banners with different content: "Striking",

"At home in Europe", "Our place is in Europe". They protest with continuous horn sounds and signals. They also chant "Long live Georgia".

Patrol police are mobilized on the spot.

We remind you that protests have been going on for the tenth day in Tbilisi and several cities of the country.
