Giorgi Akhobadze, the doctor arrested on the charge of buying and storing drugs, will be officially charged today, after which the court will discuss the extent of the preventive measures against him.

As Akhobadze's lawyer Lasha Tsutskiridze explains in a conversation with "InterpressNews", the expert's report on the seized substance is unknown to him, however, based on the information provided by the investigator, the charge will probably be placed on the purchase and storage of a large amount of narcotic drugs.

"No charges have been filed yet. Yesterday I spoke to the investigator, I asked if the expert's report had arrived. He told me that it will be the 6th section, which involves the purchase and storage of a particularly large amount of narcotics.

Giorgi Akhobadze is starving, we barely agreed that he should drink water, take fluids. He says that the narcotic drug was put on me and describes everything in detail - where they put it, where they stopped, how they searched. As he recalls, no one was taking a video, let's see if there will be a video in the case. At the moment of arrest, they put it in my left pocket, I felt it, then they took me a few meters to a tree, raised my hands, and then they started an official search.

He was at the rally with his friend, he was returning home - he had to leave his friend at Tsereteli and then go home to Saburtalo. He was arrested at 2:00 a.m.," says Tsutskiridze.

For information, doctor Giorgi Akhobadze was arrested on December 7, while returning home from the protest held in Rustaveli. He is accused of having narcotic drugs.
