Paweł Herczyński: Violent actions, intimidation and threats that we see now in Georgia are disgusting and clearly incompatible with basic democratic values

Violent actions, intimidation and threats against human rights defenders, representatives of civil society and activists, journalists and politicians, which we currently see in Georgia, are disgusting and clearly incompatible with the basic democratic values, - said the Ambassador of the European Union to Georgia, Paweł Herczyński, during his visit to the Human Rights House in Tbilisi.

"The European Union firmly stands by those who protect human rights in Georgia and around the world. Violent actions, intimidation and threats against human rights defenders, civil society representatives and activists, journalists and politicians, which we currently see in Georgia, are disgusting and clearly incompatible with basic democratic values," the ambassador noted.
