The Parliament approved the state budget for 2025 - the main financial document for next year was adopted unanimously with 88 votes.
Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili presented the draft budget, along with the attached materials, at the plenary session.
The 2025 budget is planned according to the following macroeconomic parameters: real economic growth is planned at 6.0%, and in the medium term, real economic growth is forecast at 5.2%.
The GDP deflator forecast is 3% - the same rate is maintained in the coming years as well.
The average inflation forecast for the current year is significantly lower than the target rate and amounts to 1.0%, while in the medium term it is within the target rate (3%).
The amount of state budget allocations, compared to the previous presentation of the budget, increases by 895.2 million GEL and amounts to 27 941.7 million GEL.
As for the funding allocated to the ministries, the allocations of the Ministry of IDPs from the occupied territories, Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Protection were set at 8,820.0 million GEL, which is an increase of 990.9 million GEL compared to the approved plan of 2024.
The financing of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth was set at 3,085.0 million GEL, which is 577.0 million GEL more than the approved allocation for 2024.
The financing of the Ministry of Culture was determined at 297.6 million GEL, while the financing of the Ministry of Sports will be 298.4 million GEL.
The financing of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure was determined at 3 125.0 million GEL, including 2 405.8 million GEL in the budget funds, 18.5 million GEL in grants, and 700.8 million GEL in the credits.
The financing of the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture amounts to 808.1 million GEL. 947.0 million GEL is provided for the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, which exceeds the figure of 2024 by 146.0 million GEL.
The financing of the Ministry of Finance amounts to 121.0 million GEL. 442.0 million GEL is provided for the Ministry of Justice, 215.0 million GEL for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 1,730.0 million GEL for the Ministry of Defense, which exceeds the approved plan for 2024 by 350.0 million GEL.
1,395.0 million GEL is provided for the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which exceeds the approved plan of 2024 by 135.0 million GEL. A 10% increase in the salaries of police officers is included in the mentioned amount.
